Highway Police Seize 62 Kilograms of Cocaine Paste in Brazil

On March 12, 2013, the Brazilian Federal Highway Police reported that it seized 62 kilograms of cocaine paste from a car in Santa Isabel, part of the São Paulo Metropolitan Area.  The car was en route from Iguazu Falls, Paraná state, to Rio de Janeiro.  The driver presented forged documents to highway police, while the passenger denied having any.  After surveying the vehicle, police found 61 tablets of cocaine paste in the false floor and behind the rear bumper.  The men confessed to knowing about the drugs and would have earned R$10,000 for its safe delivery.  They were taken into custody.  Read Article
