Highway Police Seize 24 Kilograms of Marijuana from Brazilian Bus Passenger

On March 12, 2013, Diário de Guarapuava reported that police arrested a teenager on a bus last night with close to 24 kilograms of marijuana in her baggage.  The bust was made on BR-277, while the bus was on its way to Ponta Grossa, in the Brazilian state of Paraná.  The drugs were found during a routine Federal Highway Police check close to the city of Guarapuava, about 260 kilometers from the state capital of Curitiba.  As the young woman was a minor, no details were released, and she was taken to the local police barracks to obtain more information.  Read Article
