Head of Jalisco cartel arrested by Navy during operation in Mexico

Isaías Flores Pineda, alias “El Crono,” “El Reyito,” and “El Maniaco” was arrested by Naval forces in Veracruz after a citizen complained to authorities about a vehicle with armed passengers. When officials arrived, the occupants of the vehicle attempted to flee, La Jornada Veracruz reports. They were finally caught in front of a hotel in the north of the city. Flores Pinada was then arrested, along with Claudia Medina Tamariz. Flores Pinada was an alleged leader of the Jalisco Nueva Generación cartel. They carried several weapons, cash, and several doses of drugs. Several other members of the cartel were seen on the property and were promptly arrested. Read Article
