Guayaquil, Ecuador: U.S. Citizen Murdered by Gunman on Motorcycle

eluniverso.com reported that a US citizen was murdered by gunfire in south Guayaquil. Authorities identified the victim as 47-year-old David Jusino, who arrived in Ecuador on Saturday morning with his wife and daughters. The victim was shot that evening after playing soccer in Guasmo Sur. He was walking home and was several blocks from his residence when ambushed. Police surmise the murder could have been a “payback” known as “ajuste de cuentas”. According to witnesses, two men on a black motorcycle using motorcycle helmets rode up to him and the passenger shot him several times in the head and body.
