Guatemala: Police Seize 14 Kilos of Cocaine, Detain Seven People

From lainformacion.com on June 16, 2013- Guatemalan security forces discovered a stash of cocaine that was found in secret compartments in three vehicles when driving near the Mexican border. The cocaine amounted to 14 kilos and was seized along with the arrest of seven people including one woman and one minor. The seizure took place near Tecum Uman in the department of San Marcos. In addition to the drugs, authorities seized guns, ammunition, and mobile phones. Recently, security forces have increased operations in the western and southwestern parts of the country after the assassination of eight police last Thursday in a police station in Salcaja.
