Guatemala: German tourist dies at Pacaya Volcano

Marian Christa Elizabeth Theaelsbeph (sic) age 62 a German tourist died of a heart attack while visiting the Pacaya volcano in Guatemala as reported by prensalibre.com. She had arrived at the National Park along with other tourists from Antigua Guatemala at about 3:30 in the afternoon. Because of her age she decided to ascend on a horse. She stopped and got of her hourse and smoked a cigarette according to reports and then began to vomit, suffered a heart attack and died. Contreras said that to reach the top of the cone woman dismounted and smoked a cigarette, but soon vomited and when the group had suffered a heart attack back that cost him his life.

The death merited the arrival of volunteer firefighters lower the body to the top of the volcano, a situation that was achieved up at night due to bad road conditions.
