Flu Vaccine Campaign Launched in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil

On April 11, 2013, NE10 reported that the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Norte will launch next Monday (4/15) a campaign to combat influenza.  On April 20, state health authorities predict that close to 585,000 citizens in the state will be vaccinated.  Authorities said that the main focus will be those 60 years of age or older, health system workers, children and pregnant women.  The program is part of a national effort to vaccinate some 32.3 million people against the flu this year.  Read Article
