Federal Highway Police in Brazil Seize 260 Kilograms of Marijuana

On April 15, 2013, the Brazilian Federal Highway Police reported that authorities seized a large quantity of marijuana over the weekend in the state of Paraná. Police made three separate seizures, the first a 233 kilogram find in Campo Mourão, less than three hours from the Brazil-Argentina border. Police gave chase when the driver sped off during a routine checkpoint stop. The car and drugs were seized, but the suspect remains on the loose. The other two incidents involved bus passengers traveling on the highway, both being adolescents.  Read Article
