Federal District, Brazil: 10 Suspects Arrest for Drug Trafficking, Brazil

Globo reported on August 22, 2013 that the civil police in the Federal District detained 10 suspects accuse of drug trafficking in Bandeirante. Police report this is the largest group in the region responsible for selling drugs. Upon arrest, police confiscated a precision scale, phones, marijuana, cocaine, crack and cash. Suspects hid the drugs in walls and trees of locals in the area. Police report the group received between R$6,000 and R$10,000 a week in sales. The investigation began a year ago after 50 complaints were made against the suspects. The group is also suspected of receiving stolen goods. Read Article
