Esmeraldas Ecuador: refinery chemical leak

According to lahora.com.ec, …..With masks over their nose and mouth, hundreds of workers of different contractors of the Korean company SK evacuated facilities Esmeraldas refinery, before a possible leak of a strong chemical.
The event took place from 16:30 on Thursday, half an hour before the usual time of departure of the work. One of the workers still baffled by what happened, said that while he was in his job an alarm went off that made everyone evacuate the premises of the Korean company. Amid the rush to leave the plant oil workers commented that they felt the chemical in the environment appeared to be ammonia. Read Article
