El Salvador military requests 43 million dollars to bolster public safety

El Salvadoran Army requested $ 43 million budget increase over 2012, to combat crime. This was confirmed by Defense Minister Gen. David Munguia Paves, who revealed that the Armed Forces requested for fiscal year 2012 a special budget of over $ 40 million to meet the needs arising from their support for the PNC (PNC) in public security tasks.
