El Salvador, Guatemala open consular office in Chiapas Mexico

The Foreign Ministry on Friday opened a consular protection office in the town of Comitan, Chiapas, Mexico. The aim of the new headquarters, which will be operated in conjunction with the government of Guatemala, is to protect Salvadoran immigrants in need in that area of the southern border of Mexico.
