El Salvador Bans Firearms in 27 Municipalities

El Salvador has issued temporary ban on firearms in 27 municipalities as part of its efforts to reduce violence and criminal rates provided that 70-75% the homicides involve firearms. Justice and Security Minister Manuel Melgar told the press the decree will remain in force in 20 such places until June 15 and till May 15 in the rest, including the beaches. Read Article
