El Salvador, 311 sexual assualts between January and August

A total of 311 sexual assault cases have been reported in the country from January to August 18, according to records handled by the Institute for the Advancement of Women (ISDEMU). The figure is based on a consolidated care conducted by the National Civil Police, prosecutors and hospitals. Sexual assault is the second of violence against women and is only under the domestic assault this year reported 2.226 cases. Read Article
