El Alto, Bolivia: Police and Military to Organize Plays On Human Trafficking

On July 5, 2013 El Diario Nacional Noticias reported that members of the police and military in the city of El Alto are set to present plays dealing with human trafficking. According to event organizers, the main objective of the plays is to raise community awareness, especially amongst children, concerning strangers who try to kidnap victims in order to sell them or use them for sexual exploitation.

In particular, the plays aim to educate people on the types of ploys criminals use to deceive victims so they can kidnap them. The event will take place at the Raúl Salmón de la Barra theater over the next two weeks. Read Article
