Ecuador’s Rafael Correa denounces U.S. media on bashing govts of Venezuela, Brazil

Telesurtv.net reported Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa denounced U.S. media bashing on the progressive governments of Venezuela and Brazil, Tuesday.

In New York on a tour to promote tourism in Ecuador, Correa set the narrative straight on several attacks against left-wing South American governments.

While the media has painted the Venezuelan National Assembly in a largely positive light, Correa said the amnesty law they recently approved, declared unconstitutional by Venezuela’s Supreme Court, is abhorrent.

The law would grant impunity to perpetrators of right-wing violence, including the deadly opposition protests in the “Guarimbas” of 2014, which left 43 people dead. Read Article
