Ecuador’s Communication Act permits banning of advertising of food considered injurious to health

Ecuavisa.com reported…”Thanks to the Communications Act, the Ministry of Health has the capacity to ban advertising of food injurious to health,” President Rafael Correa said during his radio 341, where he talked about some of the health policies that the Government is carried out for the welfare of citizens.
Correa also referred to various health problems suffered by Ecuadorians. Reported that diabetes and hypertension are among the diseases that affect citizens and to prevent the intake of food injurious to health will take some measures.
“These are things we must face the country, people are dying for us poor diet and lifestyle habits in general,” said the president. Read Article
