Ecuadorian newspaper appeals court decision

The Ecuadorian newspaper, El Universo, said it would appeal to fines and prison charges that a court ordered after the publication of a controversial article on President Rafeal Correa reported El Universal.mx. The court sentenced a former newspaper columnist and three directors to time in prison, as well as a 40 million dollar fine. The article on Correa, who celebrated the court order, accuses him of ordering fire at will at a hospital full of innocent civilians during a military operation. Read Article.
