To sample the August 13 police arrested, mistreated and announced the deportation of Manuela Picq, Brazilian journalist and partner of Carlos Pérez, leader of opposition veteran ECUARUNARI and Correa by gold mining in Quimsacocha. Police also detained and beat Salvador Quishpe, prefect of the province of Zamora Chinchipe.
