From early on Thursday August 16 and so far, maintaining high energy seismic signal amplitude tremor and emissions associated with steam, gas and ash. This activity is manifested by constant surface noise and roar of moderate to strong intensity, moderate intensity sporadic gunfire, a constant emission of ash and pyroclastic flow generation. The noises are heard in cities like Ambato and Riobamba. In general, since the beginning of the activity, there have been reports of heavy ash falls in Pillate, San Juan, Sanctuary, Sabañag, Cahuají, Manzano, Choglontús, Bilbao, Quero upper and Igualata area.
