Ecuador to offer airlines 40% fuel subsidy to open new routes to Ecuador

President Rafael Correa on Saturday offered a subsidy of 40% in fuel for airlines to open new routes connecting Ecuador and other countries and thus improve connectivity with the Andean nation.”We will favor some frequencies, but if airlines want to do direct flight Ecuador-Italy, Ecuador, Germany, have a subsidy of 40% of the fuel,” Correa said during Saturday’s link, announcing a plan to promote tourism.
