Ecuador records trade surplus of USD 389.6 million between January and June 2012

Lahora.com.ec reported that Ecuador achieved a surplus of 389.6 million dollars in its trade balance during the first half of 2012 against 217.2 million in the same period of 2011, said Sunday the Central Bank (ECB).

He said that from January to June, the country exported products by 12,158.9 million (including crude 7369.5 million) and imported by 11,769.3 million (9197.4 million including non-oil items).

Last June, Ecuadorian overseas sales stood at 1.778 million and $ 2,030 million in purchases, to shed a deficit of 252 million, the second in a month, and running, in 2012, according to a report published in the ECB’s website. Read Article
