Ecuador: President Correa denounces world order as unjust and immoral, penalizing the poor

The president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, denounced the Unesco general conference of the existence of a world order “unfair” and “immoral” that puts the financial capital to human and benefiting to the rich and penalize the poor.
“We need less charity and justice without the privatization of knowledge” in order to give “a major boost for the development of poorer nations,” said Correa at the Paris headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco). Ecuadorian President said that the problem of development “is not technical, but political,” and stressed that “overcoming poverty is the greatest moral imperative that has the planet.” Read Article
