Ecuador preparing preventive measures to reduce impact of next El Niño

vtv.gob.ve reported the President of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, announced on Wednesday that the Government planned preventive actions to reduce the impact that may have the climate phenomenon known as “El Niño”.

“Better to prevent than cure. We will not be able to remedy everything for the next El Niño phenomenon, that it is true that there is a 50 to 70 percent chance of its presence in Ecuador”explained the National President.

Climate studies conducted recently revealed anomalies in temperatures, as well as the level of the sea in the Pacific Ocean that increase the possibilities between a 50 to 70 per cent that the climatic phenomenon impact Ecuador. Read Article
