Ecuador: Major crop losses in Tungurahua province due to extreme cold

Low temperatures spanning the central highland provinces as Tungurahua, Chimborazo and Cotopaxi concern to farmers because in some areas spoil their crops and financial harm. “Absolutely all plants, all products are affected,” said Carlos Fernandez, president of the Cantonal Agricultural Center of Ambato, to analyze the effects of low temperatures in the Tungurahua province in recent weeks.
