Ecuador, magazine Vistazo found innoncent

The complaint against Vistazo magazine, which was alleged to have violated the campaign silence during the referendum, was dismissed yesterday by Ximena Endara, President of the Electoral Tribunal (TCE), because it was “inappropriate.” The judge argued that the complaint filed by the five social organizations, which accused the magazine of propaganda by the No, by an opinion that would have circulated on May 6, was not within the prohibitions established by the Code of Democracy, as in the space “was not propaganda, but expressed the opinion of the media.” Read Article
