Ecuador looking to Chile for mining investments

hoy.com.ec reported government authorities and social leaders of Ecuador will visit Chile next week with the objectives of attracting investments and know examples of responsible mining in the country, said today the Ministry coordinator of strategic sectors. The Ecuadorian delegation will be headed by Minister Coordinator of strategic sectors, Rafael Poveda, authorities of the national mining company and community in several areas where they develop mining projects in Ecuador leaders.

The visit of the Ecuadorian delegation to Chile, which will last until next Friday, will begin Monday with the transfer to the District of Salamanca, located in the Choapa province, about 200 kilometers from Santiago, where the Los Pelambres copper mine is located. There he operates a Foundation committed to strengthen sustainable mineral development, which has allowed the inhabitants of the province to start several projects as the cultivation and export of Damascus and honey production.
