Ecuador: Lesbian couple apply for marriage license, attempting to change law

Yesterday, she and her girlfriend Gabriela Correa submitted their documents in the Registry of Quito in order to get an appointment and get married. In a telephone interview NORTHERN Journal, Pamela said they are waiting for the answer, offered for Friday, though he knows it will not be accepted since the Constitution only recognizes marriage between man and woman. With the document, the couple will take legal action to protect against the judiciary, then expect to reach the Provincial Court of Justice, the Constitutional Court and even international bodies to ensure that Ecuador is approved gay marriage.
