Ecuador: Inflation rate .026% for July, annual at 5.09%

Inflation rose 0.26% in July, up from 0.18% in the same month of 2011. With this, annual inflation stood at 5.09%, compared to 4.44% a year. While the accumulated was 2.67%, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INEC). The growth rate is mainly due to rising Alcohol, Snuff and drugs, followed by food and non-alcoholic beverages and, Restaurants and Hotels. The three items contributed with 77.44% of inflation.
