Guillen (Colombian Journalist) mentioned that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange had provided him with information about Correa’s alleged millionaire deposit.

According to a posting on Twitter on Saturday, May 27, Guillén says that Correa made an “initial deposit of $ 1 billion” at the Swiss Bank Corporation in a bank transaction dated October 2011.

Correa’s alleged account was blocked in 2012 “due to grave suspicions about the origin of the funds” and later enabled again, says Guillén.

RAFAEL CORREA’S RESPONSE:

Former President Rafael Correa replied to Colombian journalist Gonzalo Guillén for publishing that he would have deposited billions of dollars in a bank account in Switzerland.

“Oops! I’ve had a trillion dollars in Switzerland! Every nutcase you meet, “Correa wrote in his personal Twitter account. ¡Ups! ¡He tenido un billón de dólares en Suiza!
