Ecuador expects 1.5 million tourists through 2014

plenglish.com reported Ecuador expects a 1,5 million foreign tourists in 2014 after the encouraging growth experienced by this sector from January to September this year, announced today the ministry of that sector.
According to a statement released Saturday, the arrival of visitors to the country in the first nine months of the year increased by 14.5 percent over the same period in 2013. Until then, says the text, the reports accounted for over 1,148 million tourists, mostly from Colombia, Peru and the United States, in that order.

The strategy, which is called All You Need is Ecuador, is aim at convincing tourists of the world that this nation combines into a single territory Andean, coastal and Amazonian geographies, in addition to the Galapagos Islands, home to many unique species in the world.
