Ecuador Earthquake: Numbers of foreigners killed in quake reaches 20

Ecuador: Foreign Minister said that 20 foreigners were killed in earthquake
peru.com/EFE reported Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador , Guillaume Long said that some 20 foreign nationals have died as a result of the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck last Saturday the northern part of the Ecuadorian coast.

He also indicated that foreigners are still reported as missing, although did not specify the number and give further details.

Long said the number of foreign toll could increase as they continue search efforts and debris removal in areas affected by the shock.

In the list of foreigners killed by the earthquake are included eight Colombian citizens, five Cubans, two Canadians, a Dominican, an Irishman, an Englishman, an Italian and a German.

The 7.8 magnitude earthquake occurred at 18:58 local time on Saturday (23.58 GMT), between the coastal resorts of Cojimíes and Pedernales in the province of Manabi and Esmeraldas bordering neighbor. Read Article
