Ecuador: 10,356 drivers sanctioned for speeding since new law took affect June 11

Since the promulgation of the regulation to the Traffic Law (June 11) 10 356 drivers have been penalized for exceeding the speed limit within the moderate range (fine and point reduction). Police have arrested 280 people.

Those who break the law are more men. There are 9448 men fined for exceeding limits within the moderate range, while only 908 women are registered. They have gone to prison 267 men and 13 women. Read Article
