Dominican Republic: More than 100 Child Trafficking Victims Rescued in Last 3 Months

On July 11, 2013 UPI Español Noticias reported that more than 100 children were rescued from human trafficking operations in the Dominican Republic during the last three months. According to the director of the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Migrant Smuggling and Trafficking, authorities have also closed establishments engaged in trafficking and have imposed punitive measures on their owners.
