Dominican Republic: Counterfeit dollar printing operation shutdown

The National Drug Control (DNCD) dismantled a clandestine printing and occupied about three million counterfeit dollars in a country house located in San Juan Mata community, near the Airport The La Isabela, in the north of this capital. The DNCD chief, Major General Rolando Rosado, revealed that a staff led by two colonels and a major, which included a deputy prosecutor of the province of Santo Domingo, rushed to the scene to make a requisition for an alleged shipment of cocaine, according to data provided by an informant.
