Dominican Republic citizen returns from Peru with drugs taped to legs

Rubén Balbuena Martich, a 20-year-old musician from the Dominican Republic, was arrested after flying back to his country from Peru. He was carrying three kilos and 340 grams of cocaine that were taped to his legs, Noticias Mundo Vision reports. He had arrived on Copa Airlines flight 448, which made a stop in Panama before the final destination in the Dominican Republic. The suspect was required to submit to an X-ray test to determine whether he had swallowed any drug capsules. The results were negative.
