On April 30, 2013, D24AM reported that two people were arrested earlier this week and charged with drug trafficking in Manaus, capital of the state of Amazonas.  Luana Barros da Rocha, 20, and her 17 year-old boyfriend (not identified) were arrested after their home was suspected of being a haven for drug dealing.  Police found cocaine paste in a water tank and a radio transmitter nearby.  They found the young man near a motorcycle, which they later discovered to have been stolen.  Luana admitted to involvement in the scheme, but claimed that neither she nor her boyfriend were drug users.  She also claimed that they were selling drugs to support her two little girls.  Read Article
