Costa Rica: detection of chemical (MMT) in gasoline distributed, can damage health and vehicles

The Public Services Regulatory Authority (Aresep) revealed that gasoline distributed here by the Costa Rican Oil Refinery (Recope) contains an additive that causes damage to cars and health of users.
The chemical detected is methylcyclopentadienyl manganese tricarbonyl (MMT in English) and is present in gasoline plus super and distributing Recope since January, threw a Aresep research released today by the local digital media and diarioextra.com nacion.com. Read Article
