Costa Rica: 7 Nepalese nationals arrested, suspected of being trafficked

Costa Rica authorities arrested seven Nepalese immigration papers and a Costa Rican who was apparently a smuggler, official sources said today.The incident occurred Sunday in southern Costa Rica near the border with Panama, when security forces stopped a vehicle driven by a Costa Rican named Ledezma and carrying the seven Nepalese. “Coming under these conditions the police reportedly believe that crime is the coyote (human trafficking),” he said in a statement the Ministry of Security.
