Correa urges Obama to change policy towards Latin America

Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa on Thursday urged Barack Obama, the U.S. president re-elected, to facilitate institutional turnaround in U.S. policy to Latin America and the Caribbean. The Ecuadorian president regretted that, although both U.S. presidential candidates considered the “land of opportunity” to Latin America, did not address U.S. relations with Latin American southern hemisphere in their debate during the election campaign.
