Colombia: two laboratories dismantled processing 3.5 tons of cocaine a month

As part of the “Comprehensive Policy on Security and Defence for Prosperity” National Government, Cucuta Metropolitan Police (Mecuc), continues to attack the sources of funding for drug gangs with the destruction of two laboratories which would be processed monthly about 3.5 tons of cocaine.

Lt. Col. Samuel Torres Ramirez, commander of the Regional Narcotics Company No. 5, said the blunt blow to the finances of the drug gangs, was achieved in carrying out the operation “NP REPUBLIC 56 PHASE II”, held in rural areas of the municipalities of El Zulia and Cucuta, where in addition to dismantling the complex valued at about 340 million, were seized 169 kilos of coca base to be taken abroad would cost close to $ 7,350 million.
