Colombia, Doctor of FARC Captured After Returning from Venezuela

•Miguel Ángel Ariñez, also known as the Doctor of FARC, was captured in Cúcuta, Colombia after returning from Venezuela.
•Ariñez, according to EFE, was responsible for the health of FARC’s central command and has information and connections to upper members of the group.
•He spent years hiding in Venezuela and was forced to return to Colombia due to pressure from operations of both Colombia and Venezuela.
•He has a 15 year history with FARC, and was arrested on charges of terrorism, homicide, and conspiracy to commit crimes. Read Article
