Colombia claims to have eliminated River Blindness

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) nearly 18 million people worldwide suffering from Onchocerciasis, also known as river blindness, an infectious disease that causes changes in the skin and eye damage that can lead to blindness.In America, this disease is endemic in six countries and more than 500 thousand people at risk of infection.
