Colombia: 13,000 hectares consumed in fires

In 180 Colombian municipalities wildfires have occurred as a result of the strong dry season facing the country. Since June, there have been 440 conflagrations that have spent thirteen thousand 820 hectares of territory. More than thirteen thousand hectares of Colombia have been consumed by forest fires, mostly caused by strong dry season facing the country. The current season is a prelude to the arrival of the phenomenon of “El Niño” which is expected to affect the country later this year and early next. Read Article
