Colchane, Chile: Police Arrest Bolivian Migrant for Drug Trafficking

May 23, 2013- Terra reported that Chilean authorities arrested Alvaro Mendoza, 21, in Colchane, Chile after he tried to evade immigration authorities by entering the north side of the complex. During a close inspection after the failed evasion attempt, authorities discovered more than 3 kilos of marijuana in Mendoza’s backpack. Mendoza came from the city of Cochabamba and will be tried for drug trafficking at a tribunal in Pozo Almonte. Read Article
