Chile investigating possible link between Mapuche Indigenous group and FARC reported ….. Despite the presence of military police, arson attacks continued Tuesday in the Mapuche region of Araucanía, in southern Chile, with victimless attacks against at least two properties, raising a serious conflict in one of the poorest regions of country. “We are in the presence of an organized terrorist group with terrorist methods, international links that come with training, with training and contacts with the FARC,” the minister said on Monday, Secretary General of the Presidency, Cristián Larroulet. Since 2010, the Chilean Prosecutor investigates whether there is a link between the indigenous and the FARC, especially among radical Mapuche group Coordinadora Mapuche Communities in Conflict Arauco Malleco (CAM), whose leaders are arrested in the past and has won a number of arson attacks in the area.
