Cartagena, Colombia: Tourist from Spain alleges she is victim of sexual attack

According to the complaint of the Spanish citizen, she and her boyfriend, of Argentine nationality, entered Colombia as ‘backpackers’ on the border with Ecuador.

A woman, of Spanish nationality, denounced having been a victim of sexual abuse in the sector known as Playa Blanca, in the city of Cartagena.

According to the complaint of the Spanish citizen, she and her boyfriend, of Argentine nationality, entered Colombia as ‘backpackers’ on the border with Ecuador.

Apparently, the incident happened when the two tourists walked towards Playa Blanca and were approached by two men on motorcycles, who offered to take them.

According to the authorities, they acceded to the request of the men, because they did not have money to take public transport towards their destination.

On the way, one of the motorcycles left the other behind, a fact that was exploited by one of the alleged rapists to take the woman to a wooded sector where allegedly committed abusive sexual intercourse.

The authorities of the heroic are behind the trail of both men, while the woman receives medical attention in a care center of the city. Read Article
