Cabo San Lucas Mexico: U.S. tourist dies while snorkeling

A tourist from the United States died while snorkling in Cabo San Lucas. Robert Allen Wilkinson age 60 and from Alaska was a guest at the Hotel Wyndham. He and his son Aaron Wilkinson hired a boat headed to Bahía de las Gaviotas. When they were near the beach El Chileno, the boat made a snorkeling stop. Mr Wilkinson while snorkeling went to a depth of 8 meters. According to noticabos.org, the captain of the ship went into the water and discovered the victim unconscious and his diving mask full of water. He pulled him up to the boat and sought medical services. Mr. Wilkinson did not respond to treatment and apparently died of a heart attack. Read Article
