Caaguazú, Paraguay: Police Capture Four Sex Traffickers

On May 22, 2013 ABC Color reported that four suspected members of an international sex trafficking network were arrested yesterday in an operation conducted in Caaguazú. The suspects are accused of capturing Paraguayan females to send them to Spain, where they were forced into prostitution. 14 suspects in the same case were captured last April 17 in Alto Paraná, Madrid, Barcelona and Málaga.

The alleged members of the trafficking network arrested yesterday were identified as Cantalicio Carlos Pereira González, Ignacio Ramón Franco Mendoza, Alfonso Benítez Martínez and Benita Brítez de Godoy. They were captured as part of an investigation that began in Spain, where police uncovered a network that was sexually exploiting Paraguayan females. Read Article
