Brazil: Federal Police Seizes 800 Kilograms of Marijuana

On October 16, 2013, the Brazilian Federal Police (PF) reported that it seized a truckload of marijuana weighing 800 kilograms.  The truck was stopped in São Luís do Purunã, about 50 kilometers south of Curitiba, the state capital of Paraná.  After receiving tips from local residents, the police spotted the truck at the tollbooth near the city.  Three men were arrested, and the truck and its contents were taken to the Regional Superintendent’s Office in Paraná.  Read Article
